To check the coolant level in most cars, the most simple way is to open the radiator cap ontop of the radiator when the engine is cool. NEVER open the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Once the radiator cap is open, if the fluid in the radiator is at the top, then the radiator is full. The photo above shows what it should look like.
